About the BQIA......In 1938, with concern over the increasing year round population and development on the peninsula, the Bowleys Quarters Improvement Association (BQIA) was incorporated by a group of property owners. Its hope was “to promote and assure consented activity in all matters pertaining to the proper development; improvement; and maintenance of that portion of Baltimore County known as Bowleys Quarters and vicinity thereof”. Since 1938, the BQIA has been actively addressing water and sewerage issues, population growth, zoning, development, watershed protection, Martin State Airport noise and traffic, road and drainage maintenance, public services, air and water quality, and any issues that may impact the integrity of the area. All on a volunteer basis. We invite you to join us at one of our monthly meetings and get involved in our community. | Next Meeting: June 12, 2025 @7PMFor our final meeting before the summer hiatus, there will be no speaker. Instead, we will review the status of the year’s issues, celebrate our successes and determine the Association’s next steps in continuing to address what is urgent and important to our membership and the residents of the BQ peninsula at large. Refreshments will be provided. BQIA Elections for Executive Board and Officers will also take place. The following names have been put in place as nominations to the Board: Jim Hock, Joe Stella, and Jeffrey Kammann.
